Who?

Joe's CAD Co was started in 2005 by Joe Rowsey, who has been using, training, and supporting 3D parametric CAD since 1997. He worked with Pro/Engineer from 1997 into 2000 and then joined think3. He started working with SolidWorks in 2001.

Within a couple of months, he earned all three SolidWorks certifications that were available:

Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP),
Certified SolidWorks Support Technician (CSWST),
Certified SolidWorks Instructor (CSWI)

Since then, Joe started Joe's CAD Co as an independent contractor.

Joe earned his Certified SolidWorks Expert (CSWE) in the first year of its existence and also holds specialized certifications in Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Advanced Surfacing.

As of 2016, there are only about 40 CSWEs in the Gulf Coast region who do not work directly for SolidWorks, or a SolidWorks reseller.

Joe is the only independent CSWE in Louisiana.

What?

Joe provides 3D solid models to designers, manufacturers, and anybody who might want to have an idea 3D printed. Joe also writes and edits training manuals and best practices guides, and provides SolidWorks training services.

3D Printing: In order to 3D print an object, first a 3D model of the object is needed. Joe can create and modify the 3D model and he can help find the best 3D printing service for you.

Models and Drawings: Joe creates 3D CAD models and 2D drawings of almost any kind of part or assembly, including consumer products and industrial equipment. Models and drawings can be provided in many formats, including: Stereolith (.stl), Parasolid (.x_t or .x_b), Iges (.igs), Step (.step or .stp), Acis (.sat), Adobe (.pdf or .psd or .ai), and AutoCad (.dwg or .dxf).

Training for new users: If you are new to SolidWorks, Joe can provide training specific to the types of models that you work with. Joe can also help migrate templates, existing geometry, and techniques from other CAD systems to SolidWorks

Help for experienced users: If you currently use SolidWorks and want to get some more power out of it, Joe can help to unlock SolidWorks' full potential with feature libraries, design tables, simple macros, equations and more.

Where?

Joe is in New Orleans, but geography is not much of a restriction. Internet tools allow Joe to complete projects for clients throughout the United States. If the project involves on-site work, Joe is very good at keeping travel expenses low.

Why?

Hire Joe to create 3D models and drawings for 3D printing or manufacture, or hire him to help out with a SolidWorks project or for SolidWorks training when you want high quality results, relatively quickly, at rates that beat the competition.
